From swinging sambas and sizzling salsa to soothing bossa novas and romantic ballads, Nuevo Mundo plays traditional music from Brazil and Cuba , seasoned with a jazz flavor. They feature the vocals of guitarist Kay Peper who sings in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, teamed with latin-jazz keyboardist Beth Lederman, and some of Phoenix’s finest musicians backing them up. Nuevo Mundo merges contemporary elements of jazz and fusion with Brazilian standards and pop music.

This event is being sponsored by Elsberry Contractors, LLC, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls.  Thank you to owner, Susan Elsberry, for bringing this quartet to the Gila Valley.

The event has also been underwritten by generous financial support from Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold, the Freeport McMoRan Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Arizona Commission on the Arts, and the Graham County Community Foundation.
