Metzger’s portrayal is about the man behind the intellect,
creating a portrait of the 20th century's
greatest mind, but who harbored dreams of being a solo
violinist. He also brings to life the unbridled curiosity
that drove Einstein to seek answers to the mysteries of the
universe. Intrigued by Einstein’s eccentricities, which
captured the affections of people throughout the world,
Metzger and his wife Laya Gelff-Metzger researched and wrote
the script, which she also directed. Metzger is proud that
this is the only show endorsed
by the Einstein family.
The event has been underwritten by generous financial
support from Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold, the Freeport
McMoRan Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Arizona
Commission on the Arts, and the Graham County Community
Foundation.
