Since 1939, the Tucson Arizona Boys chorus has been entertaining audiences around the world, forged in the tradition of a European boy choir, the chorus is world renowned for a pure and verdant sound.  Exemplary musicianship in its classical repertoire has earned the chorus unprecedented recognition, yet the chorus remains uncommonly unique with a western flair.  In 1980, Dr. Julian Ackerley was named Director, bringing to the organization extensive teaching experience at all levels, including three degrees in music with emphasis on music education, choral direction and voice performance.  Under Dr. Ackerley's leadership, TABC experienced a boom in membership and activities.  TABC has recently completed tours to Thailand, Vietnam, China, South Korea, and the Czech Republic in addition to a national tour that included Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Washington D.C.  The strong traditions of the past and exciting opportunities of our modern society have paved the way for the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus' continued success as world-renowned professional touring group and an organization benefiting Tucson youth.
